I have mixed feelings regarding these games. On one hand,Im glad we are getting Switch games. The return of following Pokemon is a much welcomed feature as is the riding mechanic for some of the larger Pokemon. I just feel a bit "meh" about the casualisation, the Pokemon Go style capture mechanic that is forced upon you and the removal of wild battles.
I get this was meant to be for newer fans brought over by Pokemon Go,as well as young children, but its annoying for older fans who have long awaited a main series Pokemon game on a home console.

I really do hope Takara Tomy doesn't screw this up if we're likely getting newer Kanto figures and a possibility of having brand new Mega Evolution figures like from that Mega Kangaskhan reveal. Whatever is the supposed three "mystery" slots in the ESP category according to Paul's research, I hope it is something to be excited about.

Whether it's for or against these games, one thing undeniably real is that they are by a long shot - the most controversial Pokémon main series titles. Even with the Pros involved.

Oh 100%-I do wonder wether GF will take any of the criticism onboard regarding the casualisation and other gripes people have. But then again, this is GF...

I believe that Game Freak won't risk a drop in sales so I can't see them not listening to the audience they've earned through the years. I can see only a few features being included from Let's Go into Gen 8. 2019 games are drastically different in my view.

I'm eager for this game to come out! Kanto never really was my favorite region. But I think that this game will be a nice casual game to play while waiting for the Gen 8. My mom really likes Pokemon Go. She once wanted to get into the main games. But when she started a game in one of the cartridge I lend to her, she didn't really enjoy the experience as she wasn't used to the rpg style. She had a ton of things to learn and wasn't feeling really comfortable with the game in general, so she stopped. Fast foward to the Let's Go announcement. I wasn't very hyped at first, but I still told her about the announcement and have shown her the trailer. She became so excited when she saw the trailer, to see the game be more friendly to people like her (who enjoys collecting more than fighting) and to see the ressemblances with Pokemon Go. At this moment, I started being hyped for this game. I'm glad this game is friendly to less experimented players. I know a lot of people keep saying that as kids, it wasn't that hard to understand. But for my mom, who didn't grow with these sort of games, the Pokemon RPG are kind of too much. I'm really eager to see how it will come out in the end. I preordered the Let's Go Eevee + Pokeball bundle, while my mom took the Pikachu Bundle

I have this theory that Lets go only exists as a game to "set the stage" for 2019. First I seperated all of the pokemon games into different "dimensions." The main dimension, the remake dimension, and the third installment dimension. As you might think the main dimension includes: Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, Pearl, Black, White, B2, W2, X, Y, Sun, and Moon. The remake dimension includes: Fire Red, Leaf Green, Heart Gold, Soul Silver, OR, AS, and Lets Go. And finally the third installment includes: Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum, US, and UM. Now in order for my theory to make sense I have to move some games around. I have to switch Gold and Silver with their remakes and Sun and Moon with their remakes. I also have to switch Lets go and Yellow. Now to get started on my theory. After the events of red and blue we go on to Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Simple right. WRONG! You may remember the cutscene where Giovanni supposedly commits suicide. But what if instead of killing himself, he creates an ultra wormhole and goes on to the Ultra games. Since we already know that team rocket is returning then we can think that Giovanni would return too. This would somehow run into the 2019 storyline, but I do not know how. I hope this will change your opinion on if you will buy these games or not.
