The new listing of figurines tie in with the Sun and Moon promotions, most likely meaning that the new Pokémon no.808 will be a Generation 7 addition rather than the first Generation 8 Pokémon. We will most likely see the first Gen 8 Pokémon in the Movie 22 promotion late this year/early 2019. Thoughts on this?

Pokémon 808 will appear as a Takara Tomy figurine, and is most likely to be featured alongside a new Mew Del-Z Pocket Monster figurine. A listing was removed last week, stipulating a Legendary figurine was coming - whereas the Mew figurine leak is still visible. I'm not posting this information on the site.
JAN code for Mew as evidence is 4904810596363 and will release Oct 31st, 2018.

Sounds interesting. Do you think it will be exclusive to Go/Let's Go, with what you are aware of? It feels kind of unlikely to me that it would be added to the 3DS games, which saddens me a bit.

This is the confusing part, I don't know how Game Freak will get around this dilemma. However, people need to consider that Let's Go are still Gen 7 games - so what I am thinking is that Zeraora actually isn't the last Alola dex mon. News is imminent regardless. |

The new Pokemon could be added through the form of a patch maybe. But again, they didn't really patch Sun and Moon to add Dusk Lycanroc, the Necrozma forms, Poipole/Naganadel and Zeraora. The probability of the #808 being part of Gen 7 via Let's Go seems a lot more likely to happen, to be then transfered into the upcoming rpgs. Game Freaks is becoming less predictable through generations, so there could be a very slim chance that we get to receive #808 in the 3DS games. That said, I cannot wait to see how #808 looks like! I'm sure it will be a great addition to whichever game it ends up in! |

So we should not expect anything from this in the Worlds? I share your confusion now that you bring this up. I'm sure they will address it the way they threw the alolan forms in; out of the blue. What might happen is that either it will be classed as a Kanto Pokedex entry, or it will be in its own regional category until they reach gen 7 If they don't present this mysterious pokemon at Worlds, I sure wonder what they have in store for us. I'm not too fond into 4Chan leaks. It seems like a possibility, as there are ressemblances to what we have in our hands. I still doubt, as it could only be a sort of ''educated guess'' based on the information that was already known beforehand (A brand new pokemon coming for Let's Go, The next movie being a Mewtwo movie...) |

I don't usually look into other leaks other than merchandise for obvious reasons. The only way I ever deal with information is looking at evidence over speculation. If I can determine that something is definitely happening by 'a certain date', I usually don't go wrong. Again, there is enough for me to be willing to branch out a little here, and say that these usual releases lead to main line news hitting us way before release. It would have to be news within the next fortnight for sure.
